Itinerary By Day
- 08:00 AM, our driver and English speakinng tour guide-driver will welcome and pick you up at your hotel in Can Tho City.
- 10:15 AM, visit Vinh Trang pagoda in My Tho which was built in 1849. It is the greatest pagoda of Tien Giang Province and was recognized as a national historical and cultural relic in 1984.
- Arrive in My Tho, boarding the motorboat at a pier and cruising on the Mekong River. Here, overlooking floating houses where fishes are farmed beneath the house (viewing from the motorboat).
- Continuing the journey on the river until reaching Thoi Son island (Unicorn island), taking a horse cart to reach a performance site where Vietnamese traditional music (Đàn Ca Tài Tử - A folk art form from Southern Vietnam accredited by UNESCO in 2013 as Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity) can be heard, enjoying honey tea and seasonal tropical fruit can be tasted (included).
- Afterward, being on a hand-rowing sampan (small boat) (the main mean of transportation in My Tho & Ben Tre in the past) and slowly cruising through a small creek with beautiful overhanging coconut trees.
- At noon, it is lunchtime. (lunch included)
- Boarding the motorboat and heading to learn coconut candies making the process from a workshop. The sample of candies can be tasted.
- 02:00 PM, get back to the boat station & take the car back to Can Tho City around 04:00 PM. Free drop off in My Tho (near My Tho boat station) around 2:30 PM.
